Matthew 2:1-19 While these events which Matthew

records in his Gospel are often associated with the celebration of

Christmas, they, in fact, transpired several months later. The magi

did not come to the end of their search for the newborn "king of

the Jews" upon the night of Jesus' birth. However, the responses

given by those who were made aware of this event provide insight

into the manner in which any will celebrate Christmas. Most

certainly, depravity would keep all of us from Christ, except for

the grace of God which comes through faith alone.
