John 7:53-8:11 While some scholars have proposed

that our current text of study is out of place in the Gospel of

John, its inclusion by the Holy Spirit reiterates a theme for which

John was inclusive - "grace and truth came through Jesus Christ"

(John 1:17). This account, alone recorded in John's Gospel,

provides a glorious picture of Jesus for which each of us

desperately needs. Our utter sinfulness is undisputed, yet this

makes us ripe to be caught by grace.
