Eschatology is the study of the “last things” or

the “end times.” It involves a study of the Scriptures to determine

just how and when God will bring to finality His plan of

redemption. To many, that study is overwhelmingly complicated,

divisive, and irrelevant to daily life. And certainly, most would

never associate a study of eternal judgment and reward with the

birth of Jesus Christ. However, this passage reveals that Christ’s

birth annunciated the last days in which He will eventually restore

His righteous rule and redeem His people.
