The term “doctrine” seems as though it belongs in a
seminary institution more than it would a children’s Sunday School
class. Yet, one of the most beloved of all biblical accounts, the
story of Jesus’ birth, is packed full of doctrine. If we are not
careful, we might be tempted to overlook the basic truths which God
reveals of Himself in the midst of the nativity scene. Of primary
and glorious importance, we learn at Jesus’ birth that God has made
Himself known to us.
