Few scenes are more peaceful or serene than that of

baby Jesus in a manger. Yet, all of the prophecies that ushered His

coming, all of the events regarding His birth, and the tenor of His

life and teaching would all proclaim that Jesus was born in a barn

so that He might die on a cross. While everything in our sinful

natures may fight to keep Jesus in the manger, the holiness and

love of God propelled Him to Calvary. So, at Christmas, we can

learn very much of the doctrine of salvation.
