Genesis 38 Having just begun to relay the story of
Joseph, an exemplary man of God, why would the Scriptures take a
strange excursion to the life of his brother Judah, a man seemingly
morally depraved? The question must be asked; is there any good
that can come from this sordid event in a family that is riddled
with ungodliness? Yet, we are reminded again that the hero of
Genesis is not Joseph or his brothers, but rather, Jesus. His grace
is available not to the deserving, but even to the most
contemptible.
