Jesus Christ in a Bethlehem stable is an event forever associated

with serenity, purity, and the glory of God. Yet, Matthew

intricately connects this divine event with human depravity by the

inclusion of Jesus' genealogy. Uriah's wife, better known as

Bathsheba, is the last person one would expect to be connected to

Messiah. It is just one more proof that no matter who you are, what

you've done, or where you've been, the grace of God invites you

into the family of God.
