John 3:14-21 The sixteenth verse of the third
chapter in John's Gospel is undoubtedly the most memorable verse in
all of Scripture. It is often the first verse to be memorized by
children and is the one most likely to be seen on billboards at
sporting events. This verse's popularity is for good reason for it
surely captures with beauty and clarity the very heart of the
gospel. However, to rightly appreciate its message, it is necessary
to understand its context in Scripture. Again, we will discover
Jesus' invitation to trust Him in full surrender.
