Genesis 49:29 - 50:14 Woody Allen is quoted as

saying, "It's not that I'm afraid to die, I just don't want to be

there when it happens." In spite of his quip, the one thing for

certain anyone can know about his death is that he will be there

when it happens. While the Bible is "words of life" (John 6:68), it

does not disregard that since the time of Adam, death comes to all

men. The account of Jacob's death provides at least five actions

which must mark the death of every follower of Jesus Christ. We can

be ready when that day comes.
