John 2 As John wrote his Gospel, he wanted his
readers to come to a personal faith in Jesus Christ so that they
could know the eternal life that only He gives (John 20:31). Having
been introduced to the testimonies of reliable witnesses already,
John now presents the activity of Christ by His first miracle and
subsequent deeds. Obviously, everything which Jesus did and said
was with clear intent. As John communicates, Jesus "manifested His
glory", thereby giving His followers every reason to believe. So,
we are still without excuse in believing.
