Mark 9:14-29 In this particular passage of study

this morning, we read of a miracle performed by Jesus in which He

displayed mightily the power of God in overcoming Satan and in

healing a boy. However, He was doing more than just simply

displaying His command in all situations; He was teaching His

followers an important lesson in their need for complete dependency

upon Him. This miracle serves as a great truth that God's power is

needed in our lives and in our church; this power is available to

all who will come to God on His terms.
