John 4:1-26 In all of the Gospel accounts, the

encounter which occurs in this passage between Jesus and an unnamed

Samaritan woman is most memorable. John provides the content of a

conversation similar to that between Jesus and Nicodemus. Like him,

this woman maintains a certain perception regarding life about

which Jesus will upend. However, this woman's reputation could not

be more dissimilar to that of Nicodemus'. In the end, Jesus will

again reveal Himself to this one, showing Himself to be the Messiah

for all.
