John 4:27-42 As is so often the case in John's
Gospel, the individuals who encounter Jesus are, at least
initially, sorely unaware of just who He is. In our current passage
of study, we discover again this to be the theme as Jesus reveals
Himself to an unnamed woman, the very disciples who are committed
to Him, and finally a town which is the least likely suspect. The
transformation wrought in each scenario beckons to any with ears to
hear of the Christ who will again make new the one who will look to
Him in faith.
