John 6:1-21 There are few accounts in the Gospels

which are more cherished than that of Jesus' miraculous feeding of

thousands, followed by His walking upon the waters. However, Jesus

never performed miracles for the sake of entertaining the crowds;

rather, these actions pointed to something much greater. As our

current text of study denotes, many were anticipating the appearing

of a Messiah similar to Moses. Yet, Jesus shows Himself to be One

greater than Moses. In all of history, in all of eternity, Jesus

alone deserves our trust and surrender.
