Luke 8:40-42, 49-56 As Luke provides an

historically accurate account of the life of Jesus Christ, he

strives to convey that Jesus is in fact Lord of all. This account

in particular describes the miracle of resurrection for a little

girl and her desperate family. By this act, Jesus proves that He

alone is Lord over life and death. So, that we might know the power

of life that He alone wields, we are to "only believe." This

passage provides an explanation of just such a saving

faith.
