Genesis 46:1-27 Very few of us would ever choose
obstacles in our path. Rather, we would choose a journey that is
free of any difficulties and easily navigated. Yet, the accounts of
those in the book of Genesis have shown that the calling of God
upon each one in Christ is not without obstacles. Throughout much
of his life, Jacob had trusted in the Lord. But even far along in
his journey of faith, barriers could prevent him from walking with
God in full obedience. These same obstacles will surely be along
our path to following Christ.
