The “Via Dolorosa” (literally, “the way of

suffering”) is the title given to the road that is traditionally

believed to be the pathway that Jesus walked toward His

crucifixion. In this passage we read that Jesus’ life intersected

with others while He carried the cross. From these encounters, and

from Jesus’ own words, we discover the call and the power of the

cross upon our lives.
