John 3:22-30 Comparison is a fact of life for which
none are unfamiliar. In order to understand any number of ideas, we
often compare one matter to another. When using the wrong measuring
stick, comparison can lead to dejection and condemnation. However,
in our current passage of study, the Gospel writer uses the means
of contrast in order to prove that none compares to Jesus; everyone
else falls desperately short. And there is not a more glorious
truth of which we could discover.
