Exodus 12:3 and John 1:29 When we picture the
traditional nativity in which Christ was born into the world, we
often include the sights and smells to which we would relate a
barn. While it is logical to conclude that several types of animals
could have been present at Jesus' birth, the lamb in particular
represents the greatest significance. As out text of study
explains, a lamb had long signified the means for redemption, and
specifically pointed to a Messiah who would eventually
come.
