"Jesus died for me" is certainly a statement that

the believer can say with confidence, affirming God's great love

for every sinner. However, as our current passage of study

explains, it is not the only, nor the primary reason why Jesus laid

down His life upon the cross. While sinful flesh glories only in

itself, Jesus lived and died all for the glory of God. Jesus'

sacrificial death upon the cross is that supreme act by which God

is most glorified. Our attention to this truth reveals how we also

can live for God's glory.
