Luke 20:19-26 No nation in history has ever enjoyed

freedom of religion as has our own. Yet, it has become such a

staple of our experience that we are perhaps in grave danger of

dismissing it. The Bible expresses that this unique freedom is a

gift of God for which the local church must strive to maintain. In

particular, upon being questioned about taxes, Jesus' response to

His opponents provides a framework for how believers must

understand and promote religious liberty.
