The life of faith in Christ is not just a

destination; it is a journey. Though led and kept by God to the

end, the journey of faith can be quite tumultuous. It requires the

most serious of attention to every matter, for every decision we

make can bring glory to Christ or shame upon our gospel witness. As

God is revealing His redemption through the choosing of Abram,

Abram is also learning to trust God in every matter and respond

faithfully in every decision. He learns to understand the times,

and by his example, we can learn the same.
