Genesis 42 When Joseph last saw his brothers, it
was so that they might sell him to a band of slave traders. After
so many years, we read that Joseph was a godly man, fulfilling the
covenant promises made by God to his father. Yet, what will come of
Joseph's brothers, also included in those covenant promises? Have
the years hardened them in sin, or will their consciences be
quickened by the Spirit's prodding? This passage reveals that God's
hand of conviction is upon them; how will they respond? When God's
conviction is upon us, how will we respond?
