John 8:48-59 To fully appreciate the discourse
which occurs between Jesus and His opponents in this passage, we
must have an understanding of the Name by which God would declare
Himself to Moses in Exodus 3. This event was one of momentous
significance for the redemption of God's people as the revelation
of His character is unveiled. Now, in the fullness of time, Jesus
Christ proves by His words and works to be the Son of God. Then, as
now, the great question for each soul lies in whether one takes a
posture of rebellion or surrender toward the person of
Christ.
